Answer:

Accuracy

Explanation:

Accuracy is the is the closeness of a measurement to the true/actual value being measured. That means how close the result of the experiment or observed result is to the actual/true result. Less the difference between observed and actual result more will be the accuracy.

Some time people get confused between precision and accuracy. But they are different. Precision refers to the degree of closeness of two observations or observed results to each other.

3. The velocity of sound is 332 m/s. Answer the following questions:
Angelina_Jolie [31]

Answer:

20 Hz, 20000 Hz

0.0166 m, 16.6 m

Explanation:

The minimum frequency that a human ear can hear is 20 Hz

The maximum frequency that a human ear can hear is 20000 Hz.

v = Velocity of sound = 332 m/s

Wavelength is given by

\lambda=\dfrac{v}{f}\\\Rightarrow \lambda=\dfrac{332}{20}\\\Rightarrow \lambda=16.6\ \text{m}

The longest wavelength that can be heard by the human ear is 16.6 m

\lambda=\dfrac{332}{20000}\\\Rightarrow \lambda=0.0166\ \text{m}

The shortest wavelength that can be heard by the human ear is 0.0166 m.

Suppose the U.S. national debt is about $14 trillion. If payments were made at the rate of $3,500 per second, how many years wou
andreyandreev [35.5K]

Answer:

It will take 126.84 years to pay off the debt

Explanation:

Total debt = $14,000,000,000,000.00

Paid $3,500 per second

Number of seconds to pay off the debt will be:

14 ×10^12 /3500

Number of seconds = 4× 10^9 seconds

Converting seconds to year:

I second = 3.171 ×10^-8 calendar year

Therefore, number of years it will take to pay off $14 Trillion =( 4 ×10^9 ) × ( 3.171 × 10^-8)

Number of years = 126.84 years

A child is sliding down a slide at the playgound. is mechanicalenergy conserved
Flauer [41]

No. Mechanical energy is not conserved.  There's quite a bit of friction on the slide.  So some of the potential energy is lost to heat on the way down, and the child arrives at the bottom with hot pants and less kinetic energy than you might expect.

A ball rolls forward in the grass slowing down as it rolls?
olga nikolaevna [1]

Yes it does, uh huh.  It slows down as it rolls.  That's a fact.

In order for the ball to roll forward, it has to push grass out of the way.  That takes energy.  To bend each blade of grass out of its way, the ball has to use a tiny bit of the kinetic energy that it has, so it gradually runs out of kinetic energy.  When its kinetic energy is all gone, it stops moving.
