Answer:

1. An increase in the core temperature

2. A decrease in the core radius.

Explanation:

The sun is a Main Sequence star. A Main Sequence star is powered by fusing hydrogen into Helium within its core.

For this fusion to take place, a temperature of at least 10 million Kelvin is required, beyond this point, the fusion rate is directly related to the core temperature. If the temperature increases, the fusion rate will greatly increase.

Something similar happens if the core reduces its radius. This can happen at the end of the star's lifetime, shortly before it becomes a red giant. Once the hydrogen is depleted, the core will start to shrink because the force of gravity, and as it gets smaller, gets more compressed, and its temperature increases. The outer layers of remaining Hydrogen that were outside the core now begin to heat up, and as the core continues to shrink, the star gets hot enough to begin the fusion process again, and the fusion rate can even be higher than it was during the first phase of the star, as the star becomes a Red Giant.

Energy of fossil fuels is also derieved from solar energy
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

Explanation:

All the energy in oil, gas, and coal originally came from the sun, captured through photosynthesis.for example when  we burn wood to release energy that trees capture from the sun, we burn fossil fuels to release the energy that ancient plants captured from the sun. We can think of this energy as having been deposited in a natural solar power bank over millions of years.

So, in one sense, gasoline-burning cars, coal-burning power plants, and homes heated by natural gas are all solar powered!

Four equal masses m are so small they can be treated as points, and they are equallyspaced along a long, stiff mass less wire. T
gavmur [86]

The moment of inertia of a point mass about an arbitrary point is given by:

I = mr²

I is the moment of inertia

m is the mass

r is the distance between the arbitrary point and the point mass

The center of mass of the system is located halfway between the 2 inner masses, therefore two masses lie ℓ/2 away from the center and the outer two masses lie 3ℓ/2 away from the center.

The total moment of inertia of the system is the sum of the moments of each mass, i.e.

I = ∑mr²

The moment of inertia of each of the two inner masses is

I = m(ℓ/2)² = mℓ²/4

The moment of inertia of each of the two outer masses is

I = m(3ℓ/2)² = 9mℓ²/4

The total moment of inertia of the system is

I = 2[mℓ²/4]+2[9mℓ²/4]

I = mℓ²/2+9mℓ²/2

I = 10mℓ²/2

I = 5mℓ²
