Answer:

257 kN.

Explanation:

So, we are given the following data or parameters or information in the following questions;

=> "A jet transport with a landing speed

= 200 km/h reduces its speed to = 60 km/h with a negative thrust R from its jet thrust reversers"

= > The distance = 425 m along the runway with constant deceleration."

=> "The total mass of the aircraft is 140 Mg with mass center at G. "

We are also give that the "aerodynamic forces on the aircraft are small and may be neglected at lower speed"

Step one: determine the acceleration;

=> Acceleration = 1/ (2 × distance along runway with constant deceleration) × { (landing speed A)^2 - (landing speed B)^2 × 1/(3.6)^2.

=> Acceleration = 1/ (2 × 425) × (200^2 - 60^2) × 1/(3.6)^2 = 3.3 m/s^2.

Thus, "the reaction N under the nose wheel B toward the end of the braking interval and prior to the application of mechanical braking" = The total mass of the aircraft × acceleration × 1.2 = 15N - (9.8 × 2.4 × 140).

= 140 × 3.3× 1.2 = 15N - (9.8 × 2.4 × 140).

= 257 kN.

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity

To define acceleration, We need to know more about motion.

Motion: This can be defined as the change in position of a body from one point to another. When an object accelerates, it undergoes motion.

<u>Definition</u>

Acceleration can be defined as the rate of change of velocity. The S.I unit of acceleration is meter-per-squared seconds. (m/s²)

The formula of acceleration is

  • a = (v-u)/t................. Equation 1

⇒ Where:

  • a = acceleration
  • u = initial velocity
  • v = final velocity
  • t = time

Hence, Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity

Two tuning forks of frequency 480 hz and 484 hz are struck simultaneously. what is the beat frequency resulting from the two sou
umka21 [38]
Ans: Beat frequency = f_b = 4Hz

Explanation:
The beat frequency is equal to the absolute value of the difference in frequency of the two waves. In other words, the number of beats per second is equal to the difference in frequency. It is due to the destructive and constructive interference. <span>According to this interference, sound will be soft or loud.

Hence. the formula is:
</span>Beat frequency = f_b = |f_2 - f_1|
<span>
Since,
</span>f_1 = 480Hz
f_2 = 484Hz

Therefore,
Beat frequency = f_b = |484 - 480|

=> Beat frequency = f_b = 4Hz

Is the alien theory a scientific claim? Why or why not?
spin [16.1K]
I'm not sure what the alien Theory says or if there really is such a theory. If the theory says that aliens definitely exist and that they have visited Earth in the past then the theory is totally and completely without any kind of support. It's not scientific in any way because there is no evidence for such a claim. It may be thought to be probable but no solid evidence has ever been presented.

A 62 kg bungee jumper jumps from a bridge. She is tied to a bungee cord whose unstretched length is 12 m. She falls a total of 3
Andrew [12]

Answer:

k = 104.46 N/m

Explanation:

Here we can use energy conservation

so we will have

initial gravitational potential energy = final total spring potential energy

as we know that she falls a total distance of 31 m

while the unstretched length of the string is 12 m

so the extension in the string is given as

x = L - L_o

x = 31 - 12 = 19 m

so we have

mgH = \frac{1}{2}kx^2

62(9.81)(31) = \frac{1}{2}k (19^2)

k = 104.46 N/m
