A mixture that appears to contain only one substance is a homogeneous mixture.

Further Explanation

Mixture

 • A mixture is a substance that is made up of two or more substances that are not chemically combined and in fixed proportions.
 • A mixture may have several varying physical properties.

Types of mixtures

Heterogeneous mixtures

 • This is a type of mixture that contains different substances or two or more phases of matter.
 • The components of heterogeneous mixtures are not uniform such that different samples of the mixture are not identical to each other.
 • Examples of heterogeneous mixtures are; blood, soil, Gravel, etc.

Suspension

 • It is a type of heterogeneous mixture made of larger particles that are visible and normally settles when the mixture is undisturbed.
 • Examples include, tomato juice, fine sand, etc.

Homogeneous mixtures

 • These are mixtures with a similar uniform appearance and composition throughout. Examples are, steel, air salt water, etc.
 • Homogeneous mixtures may either be, a colloid or a solution.

Solutions

 • Solutions are types of homogeneous mixtures containing two or more substances in a single phase.
 • Solutions contain, a solute which is the substance that dissolves in the other substance and a solvent which is the substances that dissolves the solute.
 • For example, in a salt solution, water is the solvent and salt is the solute.

Colloid

 • A colloid is a homogeneous solution that has an intermediate size particle between a suspension and a solution.
 • Examples of colloids are fog and milk.

What is the mass in kg of a leopard in a tree if the tree branch is 36 m up and the leopard's gravitational potential energy is
ElenaW [278]

Answer:

83.3kg

Explanation:

GPE = m × g × h

GPE = mass of leopard × 10 × 36m

29988J = 360 × mass

mass = 83.3kg

Which identifies a machine that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy?
yKpoI14uk [10]
The answer is the option c. generator. Generator is a machine that converts mechanical energy into electricity. The way it is made is because the mechanical movement may be transformed in rotation of magnets placed inside a coiled wire, and this induces the movement of electrons through the coiled wire. As you know electricity is the flow of electrons.

You plan to take your hair blower to europe, where the electrical outlets put out 240 v instead of the 120 v seen in the united
Dmitrij [34]
P = U × I
I = P / U = 1600W / 120V = 13.4A
P = 240V × 13.4A = 3216W

If your hair blower isnt rated for 220- 230V(this is the voltage in EU) you are most likely going to burn it.
