If the architectural plans show the rough opening of a window to be 3'-3" x 4'-9" , the height of the opening should actually me
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

height of the opening actually measure is 4'-9"

Explanation:

given data

window size = 3'-3" x 4'-9"

solution

height of the opening should actually measure will be 4'-9" in 3'-3" x 4'-9"

because according to architectural plan height can not be more than the opening size of window

and we can't take smaller height also

so fit in opening window we should take same height of height of opening window and that is here 4'-9"

so here height of the opening actually measure is 4'-9"

Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

Speed of cart's might be less than the high speed after 5 seconds.

Explanation:

Given that,

A fan cart with the fan set to high rolled across the floor.

Let the speed of fan cart with set to high is x\ cm per second.

The fan supplies a force to the cart. If a lower fan speed were used, less force would be applied. This would cause a slower change in the cart's speed. So, the cart would be rolling more slowly than x\ cm per second after 5 seconds. The speed of cart's might be less than x\ cm per second.

Force is needed

A. for a moving object to keep moving at the same speed and direction

B. for a moving object to change its speed

C. for a motionless object to remain still

D. to prevent a moving object from turning

Hence,

Speed of cart's might be less than the high speed after 5 seconds.

What method has detected the most extrasolar planets so far?
Sedaia [141]

Answer: The Transit method

Detecting extrasolar planets by direct observation (with a telescope) is a complicated task. This is because any planet constitutes an extremely dim light source compared to the star around which it orbits.

So, to detect this extremely dim source is quite difficult due to the glare of the star's light that dulls it.

In this sense, scientists and astronomers have made several methods to find these extrasolar planets, among which the most successful has been the transit method.

This method is based on astronomical transit, a phenomenon in which a body (a planet in this case) passes in front of a larger one (the star), blocking (eclipsing) its vision to some extent.

It should be noted that this is the method currently used in the search for extrasolar planets. Space agencies such as ESA (Europe) and NASA (USA) have put into orbit satellites with extremely sensitive photometric sensors to observe even the smallest variations of intensity of a star due to the passage of a planet.

A child drops a ball from a window. The ball strikes the ground in 3.0 seconds. What is the velocity ofthe ball the instant befo
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer: The velocity of the ball is 30.0 m/s

This can be calculated by using the value of acceleration as 10.0 m/s2 in free fall and the given time of 3.0 seconds. To get the velocity, one will have to multiply the acceleration with the given time and the quotient would result to 30.0 m/s. Mostly all object regardless of their mass, fall to earth with the same acceleration in the absence of air resistance and as the child drops the ball from a window, it gains speed as it falls.
